1. Pay attention to waterproofing

Ceramic fiber will clump together when it comes into contact with water, while the hardness of ceramic fiber blankets will immediately decrease when it comes into contact with water. Therefore, it is very important to waterproof it when storing it. However, how should the ceramic fiber blanket be stored when not in use to achieve the waterproof effect? ​​

(1) The storage environment should be dry, water-free, and non-humid; because the ceramic fiber blanket itself needs to be stored in a moisture-proof manner. If the environment is a little humid, it will affect the use of the fiber blanket.

(2) When storing on rainy days, the building should not leak or seep water, and the indoor environment should be kept dry; otherwise, once the building leaks or seeps water, water drips onto the Refractory fiber blankets, and meaning of other waterproofing is lost.

(3) When storing indoors, a pallet should be used to place the ceramic fiber blanket on the ground, and the ceramic fiber blanket should be placed on the pallet. It is prohibited to touch the ground and should be stored at least 20 mm above the ground. This is because the ceramic fiber blanket uses waterproof plastic film inside and carton packaging outside.

(4) In rainy seasons, the ceramic fiber blanket should be covered with waterproof canvas and attention should be paid to water seepage in the wall. If it is a tin house, water leakage should be paid attention to.

2. Pay attention to the storage time

There is no problem with the storage of unopened ceramic fiber blankets within one year, but after one year, they may become ineffective. Therefore, when storing them, you should not unseal them when not in use. Also, suppose the storage time is too long. In that case, you should pay attention to testing the effect of the ceramic fiber blanket before installing and using it to avoid unnecessary troubles caused by poor results.
