Characteristics of corundum refractory castables

1. Good high-temperature stability
   Corundum castable is made of alumina as the main raw material and is fired at high temperatures. Alumina has excellent properties such as high melting point, duritate mare, and high chemical stability, which makes corundum castable extremely stable and durable in high-temperature environments. Corundum castable can withstand high temperatures up to 1700℃, and within this temperature range, its volume stability, creep resistance, and thermal shock resistance are very excellent.

Precautions for construction of corundum castables

1. After adding water to the castable, the construction must be completed within 30 minute. It is strictly forbidden to return the material for mixing and add water for the second time.
2. The construction of corundum castable should be carried out continuously. Before the initial setting period of the previous layer of castable, the next layer of castable should be poured. If the construction gap exceeds its initial setting period, it should be treated according to the requirements of the construction joint.
