Influence of impurities on the properties of ceramic fibers
Some impurities in ceramic fibers, such as Fe₂O₃, Na₂O, K₂O, etc., will react with other components in ceramic fibers at a lower temperature to form eutectics, and the existence of eutectics destroys the network structure of fibers, the viscosity inside the fiber is reduced, the crystallization activation energy required to overcome the rearrangement of ion groups during crystallization is reduced, and the crystallization temperature is reduced.
