What is the difference between ceramic fiber wool and glass fiber wool?
Ceramic fiber wool and glass fiber wool are two different materials of insulation materials. They have some obvious differences in composition, performance, and use.
What is ceramic fiber cotton?
Ceramic fiber cotton, also known as aluminum silicate fiber or aluminum silicate wool, is a new fire-resistant insulation material. The cotton-like type is ceramic fiber loose cotton, and the rolled-felt type is ceramic fiber blanket. Ceramic fiber cotton is classified according to the fire resistance temperature: ordinary type 1050, standard type 1260, high purity type 1260, high aluminum type 1400, and zirconium aluminum type 1400. It is containing zirconium type 1400. The long-term working temperature of ceramic fiber cotton is 950℃~1280℃. Actual operating temperature -50℃~1280℃.
What is glass fiber wool?
Glass fiber wool is a kind of thermal insulation material with a maximum use temperature of no more than 500°C. Glass fiber ultra-fine silk cotton is generally used at a temperature of about 300°C. It is yellow, has glue, and is relatively low-priced. It is often used for low-temperature insulation and wall insulation. The operating temperature of the glass fiber mat is about 400°C. It is white and glue-free. Some glass fiber mats are covered with aluminum foil (gas barrier and anti-radiation). They are mainly used for thermal insulation of low-temperature pipeline equipment.
